About Ryan Hallford

Ryan is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, IN, where he earned a bachelors degree in psychology. Afterwards he moved to Arizona and began studies in bodywork at Rainstar University of Complementary and Alternative Medicine. He became intrigued with craniosacral therapy early in his studies and adopted it as his primary modality in 1998.

He has studied with many of the top educators and practitioners in the field, including Michael Shea, Hugh Milne, John Chitty, and the Upledger Institute. He is proficient in Biodynamic, Visionary, and biomechanical approaches to cranial work. Ryan is an active instructor, and has developed his own unique curriculum based on his experience working in different healthcare settings addressing a wide variety of physical and mental health concerns.

He has served as an adjunct craniosacral instructor for Cortiva Institute, Phoenix Therapeutic Massage College, Rainstar University, and other learning facilities. In 2016 he began teaching advanced craniosacral workshops internationally for Body Intelligence.


Ryan has worked with many professional athletes from the National Hockey League and Major League Baseball, helping with both injury recovery and performance enhancement. He has also worked extensively with professional dancers, and in 2002 he travelled with the classical flamenco company of the National Ballet of Spain on their American tour.

In 2007 he relocated his family to Texas to establish a bodywork clinic and training facility to serve the needs of the Dallas Fort Worth area. Ryan is a devoted husband and father of two teenagers. He loves music, nature, and the opportunity to help people live better lives through touch.
