What is Craniosacral Therapy?
Craniosacral therapy is a gentle form of bodywork that utilizes the inherent self-corrective mechanisms of the central nervous system and peripheral body as a therapeutic tool to facilitate healing. The therapist uses gentle sustained contact applied in a precise manner to aid the body in redistributing its internal resources. Assisting the body to do its own internal work in this fashion may resolve imbalances in physiological function, leading to a greater state of physical ease for the recipient. Craniosacral therapy is a highly refined approach to bodywork that may be effective in relieving symptoms when medical intervention or other forms of alternative care have not helped. Craniosacral therapy does not treat disease, but supports healthy function in the body.
